Jipyeong Makgeolli

A brand design was carried out for Jipyeong Brewery with the heritage of 3 generations, one of Korea's representative traditional breweries. The primary branding goal was to re-establish its identity and to conduct branding and package design for the flagship makgeolli (Korean rice wine) and its new products. For this, the new wordmark was developed based on the font used on the old signboard of Jipyeong Brewery. In addition, an illustration depicting the brewery's old building was developed whereas a series of patterns were developed inspired by old fixtures and traditional elements remaining inside the brewery. The package design for the flagship makgeolli was created this way and received positive responses from consumers establishing its strong image representing Jipyeong, and was consistently applied to the branding and package design of the new product, “Jipyeong 1925,” to complete the brand unity.​​​​​​​
