The Book of Distance, an exhibition held in collaboration between the Korea Foundation and the Gwangju Biennale, presented contemporary artists from 3 ASEAN countries—Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand—along with Korean artists. Their contemporary approach utilized various media and techniques to examine social and cultural issues. This exhibition, organized in collaboration between the Korea Foundation, which has played a bridging role in international diplomacy, and the Gwangju Biennale, Korea’s largest contemporary art festival, was held at the KF Gallery in Seoul, the Asia Culture Center in Gwangju, and the ASEAN Culture House in Busan.
To embody the exhibition’s theme, Front Kit conceptualized a design that connects the experiences of artists existing in different times and spaces, allowing their artistic worlds to converge and expand in meaning. A neatly arranged grid was chosen as the key visual, serving as both a baseline for the exhibition title and a structural element that highlights each artwork.

<거리의 서(書)> 전시는 태국, 말레이시아, 필리핀 및 한국의 현대미술 작가들의 공감과 교차점을 드러내는 협력전으로, 다양한 예술 작업을 통해 개인의 경험과 관찰로부터 각기 다른 사회가 동시적으로 마주한 사회문화적 이슈를 조망하였다. 본 전시는 대한민국 공공외교를 기반으로 국가 간 가교 역할을 해온 한국국제교류재단과 국내 최대 규모 현대 미술 축제 광주 비엔날레의 협력 전시로서 서울 KF 갤러리, 광주 아시아문화전당, 그리고 부산 아세안문화전당에서 개최되었다.
프론트킷은 본 전시의 테마를 담아내기 위하여, 서로 다른 시공간에 존재하는 작가들의 경험과 그들의 작품 세계가 한 데 모이고 연결되어 의미적 확장을 이루는 컨셉을 고안하고, 가지런히 병렬한 그리드를 키비주얼로 삼아 전시 타이틀을 담아내는 기준선이자, 각 작품을 조명하는 장치적 역할을 부여하였다.
